Community Standards
Effective January 1 2025
At TheraPro, we are deeply grateful for the incredible community of therapists, clinic owners, staff, partners, and patients who make up our growing ecosystem. Our platform was built to support healthcare practices, but what truly sets TheraPro apart is the people who use it. Each interaction—whether inside the app, through email, over the phone, at an event, or across social media—shapes the culture of TheraPro.
Because of this, we believe it’s important to set out a clear and thoughtful guide for how we interact with one another. These TheraPro Community Standards are designed to keep our space welcoming, safe, professional, and supportive for everyone involved. They aren’t here because we expect negative behavior but because we want to preserve what makes TheraPro special, and provide clear steps for how to handle issues if they ever arise.
Our vision is simple: create a professional healthcare community that reflects TheraPro’s values—Compassion, Professionalism, Innovation, and Trust. To achieve that, we ask everyone to uphold the following four principles: Be Respectful, Be Collaborative, Be Supportive, and (When in Doubt) Be TheraPro.
Why Community Standards Matter
TheraPro serves clinics that work across multiple therapy disciplines: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pediatric therapy, sports rehabilitation, and mental health therapy. With such diversity, our community brings together professionals and patients from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. That diversity is a strength—but it also means that how we communicate matters.
By agreeing to these standards, you help us create an environment where:
- Every clinician feels respected and valued.
- Every patient interaction is handled with professionalism.
- Feedback and collaboration can happen in a constructive, safe way.
- Our shared goals—better healthcare outcomes and sustainable clinic growth—remain front and center.
TheraPro Community Standards
1. Be Respectful
Treat every member of the TheraPro community—patients, therapists, staff, partners, and support teams—with dignity and professionalism. Remember there’s always a person on the other end of every interaction.
- Respect diversity. No discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic will ever be tolerated.
- Choose words and tone carefully, whether in patient records, chat messages, or community forums.
- Respect patient confidentiality and HIPAA obligations at all times. Even casual discussion must safeguard sensitive health information.
2. Be Collaborative
TheraPro thrives when clinics, therapists, and partners share knowledge and learn from each other. Collaboration doesn’t just build stronger practices—it builds stronger communities.
- Approach problem-solving with an open mind. Different clinics may have different workflows, and that’s okay.
- Share best practices generously, understanding that others may be at different stages in their TheraPro journey.
- Provide feedback to TheraPro staff and engineers with clarity and patience. We’re committed to listening, learning, and improving.
3. Be Supportive
Every member of TheraPro—whether new or seasoned—deserves encouragement and support. Healthcare is demanding work, and technology can sometimes feel overwhelming.
- Offer guidance where you can, but with empathy for the learning curve.
- Celebrate wins—big or small. Every clinic milestone contributes to better patient care.
- Remember that feedback is a gift. Provide it constructively, and accept it graciously.
4. (When in Doubt) Be TheraPro
When you’re unsure how to act, measure your behavior against our values: Compassion, Professionalism, Innovation, and Trust. If what you’re about to do doesn’t align with these, take a moment to reframe. Ask:
- Is this communication compassionate and respectful?
- Does this uphold the professional reputation of my clinic and the TheraPro community?
- Is this contributing to innovation and improvement?
- Does this build trust with patients, colleagues, and partners?
If the answer is yes, you’re living up to our standards.
Enforcement & Accountability
We are proud to support a strong, safe, and professional community. However, behavior that violates these standards may result in removal from the TheraPro Community, suspension of platform privileges, or in severe cases, termination of a TheraPro subscription. Examples include—but are not limited to—harassment, discriminatory language, misuse of patient data, or abusive communication with staff or other community members.
By joining TheraPro, you agree to communicate respectfully at all times, to uphold these values, and to accept the consequences of failing to do so.
Community Content & Contributions
When you create content as part of the TheraPro Community—whether it’s feedback, feature requests, or shared templates—you acknowledge that TheraPro may use this content to improve our Services. This ensures we can continue to evolve the platform in ways that benefit the entire community. Ownership of intellectual property created specifically for TheraPro remains with TheraPro LLC.
Feedback & Reporting
If you have feedback—positive or negative—we want to hear from you.
- Share your ideas at community@therapro.app.
- Report concerns directly in-app or by contacting support.
- Know that every submission is reviewed by a real human who cares about improving your experience.
We encourage proactive communication. If something doesn’t feel right, let us know so we can address it promptly.
Updates to Community Standards
As TheraPro grows, these community standards will also evolve. We commit to keeping this document updated so it always reflects the needs, values, and safety of our community. The “Last Updated” date will show when changes were made. By continuing to participate in the TheraPro community after updates, you agree to the revised standards.
